Privacy notice

When you open a video in Vanish, your browser reads the file from your computer. The box, the fill and the export all happen inside that browser tab, on your device. There is no upload step, so we never receive, see or store your video.

You don’t need an account. There is nothing to sign up for and no login.

Like any website, the server that hosts these pages may keep standard access logs (for example, the time of a request and an IP address). Those logs contain no video.

• What we keepYour email, which page you joined from, the time, and whether we’ve emailed you or you’ve unsubscribed. Not your IP address, device or location.
• Where it’s keptIn our own database, hosted by Neon.
• What we sendTwo emails: a confirmation when you join, and one when Vanish launches. They’re sent through Resend, with open and click tracking turned off and no tracking pixels.
• UnsubscribeEvery email has an unsubscribe link. After that we don’t email you again, the launch email included.
• DeleteReply to any email from us and ask, and we’ll delete your row.

The editor itself still sends nothing. Joining the waitlist sends your email address and nothing else.

Today, Vanish stores nothing in your browser: no local storage and no cookies. When you close the tab, the video and your edits are gone from Vanish.

When Pro launches, your licence key will be saved in this browser’s local storage, so Pro stays unlocked next time. We may also keep small preferences there, such as your last export settings. Both stay on your device, and clearing your browser’s site data removes them.

There is no way to pay yet. When Pro launches, payment will be handled by Paystack on Paystack’s own checkout. We won’t see or store your card details. We will only receive what Paystack sends us to issue your licence key, such as your email address and a payment confirmation.

The fonts, icons, clips and scripts on this site are served from the site itself. Nothing loads from a font service or a content delivery network, so opening these pages doesn’t tell anyone else that you visited.

1. Use Vanish in Chrome, Edge, Safari or Firefox.
2. Open the developer tools with F12, or ⌘⌥I (Cmd + Option + I) on a Mac, then the Network tab.
3. Clear the list, then drop a video into Vanish, place the box and export.
4. Watch the list. No request carries your video. The editor’s footer counts every request the page makes:
